    Hi All,
I downloaded music using the BitTorrent client. The downloaded music had the extension .MPC when tried loading it through Windows Media Player 10 it throws out an error message.
Would be glad to know how i can
    1. Play the file in Windows Media Player10 (any Codec required?)&
    2. Convert the .MPC file to .MP3

    Thank you,
    - Sravan

.mpc files are Musepack audio files, which are mostly encoded at 128kbps, and praised as having superior quality at that bitrate. You just need to get a Musepack audio decoder to run it in WMP.

    Here's a link to one:

I would recommend getting Media Player Classic instead. It's a great program that works like the old WMP (6.4), but adds a lot of nice features like supporting various subtitle formats and DVDs. It also just incorporated Musepack playback into the program, so you don't even need the DirectShow filter to play the files on it.
