i make halo 2 videos using mpeg 1 format but whenever i make like a 10 minute video the size of the video is like 120mb can somebody plz tell me how to compress it to where the size of the video is much smaller THX!
MPEG-1 are 1150 kbps CBR and the video size is NEVER smaller that it. You could chanke the audio bitrate from 224 to 128 so the total bitrate becomes 1150 + 224 (1364) kbps -> 1150 + 128 (1278) kbps but there's no other way to make a MPEG-1 smaller. You could make a KVCD (Kwags VCD, are VCD VBR made in CQ [constant quality] mode) with a small CQ value (see FAQ), ot compress them to AVI. Probably you have different AVI made with a different bitrate (AVIs have a bitrate), bot once you convert them to mpegs you 'lose' the bitrate variable. You could encode to KVCD with different CQ values, but there's no 'rule' which links CQ and size..
