Is it possible to put an mpeg-1 file onto a dvd-r like a vcd? Or does it have to be an mpeg-2 file?
    Thanks

yes, you can. use TMPGenc tools function, demutiplex mpg-1 to a .m1v and .mp2, then change .mp2 to 48khz using TMPGenc, remultiplex .m1v and your new audio that you just create, when multiplexing be sure to select mpg-2 header. You will have a .mpg-2 with a .mpg-1 format. Now you can use any authoring tools and make dvd. hope this help
