Does anyone know when Mpeg-4 burnering will be the norm, or when it will be an option? Im a newb, so sorry of this question sounds crazy. Will standard Home DVD players be able to play Mpeg-4's? Thanks
yes most new ones will........... try to convert in ntsc form some players do not like pal form.........
Mpeg-4 authoring will become the Norm when there is actually a Disk format that uses the Mpeg-4 format but as to now there isn"t one.... When the HD-DVD and Blueray Formats Finally Come out they are supposed to Support Mpeg-4 Video and Mpeg-2 Video for makeing HD Video disks but it will be at the very least a few years before these formats are the Norm and the Drives and media are cheap enough for a Normal Consumer to Purchase...... Finding DVD Players that will play Mpeg-4 Files Burned to DVD/CD is Pretty easy and they aren"t very expensive...There is a Sale on were I live for a divX certified DVD player for $29.99 Canadian.... Cheers
i just bought a player that only supports ntsc form............ it wont play in pal so look for a player that supports all.
