    Hi,
this is an odd one from my limited knowledge, but hopefully some of you guys know whats wrong here and how to correct it..
the problem is i have an Mpeg file, but when i open it it runs in MSDOS!!! I dont know what i did, but it is definetly an Mpeg.
I thought i could change it with 'open with', but i dont get that option, so i tried in the properties, but i cant see how to change it.

    Any help would be great
    Thanks
    Vince

when you say extension, how do i check? I dont know the correct expression.
But if you mean File type...i checked the properties and it now says 'Type of file' MSdos application.
I know it was an Mpeg earlier...lol
    It just under 800,000,000 bytes
How the hell its now an MSdos file i dont know.

it will have the extension .mpg! if you cant see extensions, click tools - folder options and click the view tab and untick hide extensions for known types!
