i convert my avi files to mpeg1 then burn them with nero on dvd. This usually works great but every once in awhile when I load up my dvd some of the files are missing. All the files are on the dvd but thay just don't show up on my dvd player. I use winavi for my converting, but should I convert them to mpeg2 or dvd. Because whenever i convert them to dvd i can never burn them right and the picture is always zoomed in to far
    thankx

I would recommend the following apps for great looking DVDs from AVI input:

TMPGEnc Express for encoding to MPEG2 format.

DVDLab or TMPG DVD author to author what TMPGenc created.

DVDLab is the best for creating interactive menu and author the files right away.

    NERO is great for burning
