I just got Nero 7 the other day.
I was told i need to use Nero Vision to put my MPEG files onto a DVD.
    Details:
I have MPEG videos i want to put on DVD...Suggestions?
Was told to use Nero 7...true?
Nero 7 took 6 hours to transcode...that long for anyone else?
I left it over night, when i woke up, i went to burn it to DVD and Nero would not recognize the disc i had in the burner.

    Any suggestions would be great.
    Thanks!
ps...i read the guide, but it didnt help much

What was the running time of the mpeg file?
If it was six hours long, then six hours to convert may not be out of line.

Try this simple (but effective) converter on the same file and see if there's a difference.

    http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe
Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)

You can play the output with your media player to see if it's ok.

The disk that Nero rejected, was it the type that the burner should accept (examples DVD+R or DVD-R)?
You could verify that the burner firmware is up to date to set that possibility aside.
