I first used smartripper to rip the DVD to the hard drive.then i used DVD2AVI to covert it to AVI.Then i used TMPEG to convert it to MPEG.now all i need to do is covert it to VCD to play it in a DVD player. Is there a free program that lets you do this.I tried nero and had probloms so something else would be good.
    Please help.

As long as you used the VCD template in TMPGEnc, you shouldn't have any problems burning with Nero. All you have to do is start Nero Burning Rom, select a VCD compilation and drop your mpeg into the compilation, click burn and you're done. Could you be more specific with the kinds of problems you had?

That's quite a predicament you have there. Did you only recently install Nero? Are you using the version that came bundled with your drive? If not you should probably try unintalling all Nero software and then re-install. If you tried to overwrite a previous Nero installation without uninstalling that might be why you're having this problem

The freeware version is no longer available at vcdeasy.org, unless you know of an alternate link. The trial version has a 400mb file size limit. A very nice program nontheless and well worth the price in my opinion.

all you have to do is download vcdeasy from kazaa and if you need a serial number than just download that to. you can use nero but if you do then you need to download a keygen for it so you won't be limited on what you can do with it, the only thing i don't like about nero is that it takes to long if you want the movie fast then get vcdeasy its easier and you can put chapters in it.

Advocating piracy isn't allowed here, dude. That's why I offered a link to the freeware version.
