I'm following the guide to put multiple svcds on one dvd, and I merged the two svcds and am trying to save them, BUT... it says "file sharing error: (blank) is in use. Please select a new file name. (blank) is any file name I pick... there's no odd characters or long titles used (even the simplest names won't work) on a side note, the guide i was using said not trimming the bad frames from the segments before joining can cause save errors, but I see no bad frames that need trimming!!
I would try to do this : - open the 1st file (e.g. movie_CD1.mpg) - click the button which corresponds to 'copy' --> the file goes in the video clipboard - close the window and open the 2nd file; - drag-and-drop the file from the video clipboard to the new window. The windows 'MPEG-VCR : Insert' will appear and you'll have to tell the program where to insert the file which was in the clipboard (at the beginning, at the and, in befween). If you paste the 1st CD on the 2nd, the default is fine. Click OK - now press the 'Save' Button, choosing the MPEG-2 type and, if needed, if you have to transcode the audio to 48 kHz. There's a tutorial about this on http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ , but I didn't find very clear (I think drag-and-drop is better). The 44.1 -> 48 kHz conversion is well explained, though.
