Hi, I have a mpeg2 video that plays awesome, sound is in sync and awesome. I tried to use tmpgenc dvd author to create files to burn to dvd+r. It says the video size does not complie with dvd standards.

    size is 480 x 576 25 fps 4:3 pal

What should I resize this video to and what is the best program to use. I dont want to lose too much quality if I can help it. your insight is appreciated. thanks.

Are you trying to make an NTSC (NA and most fo ASIA) or a PAL (Europe and Australia) DVD -> the MPEG you have now is in PAL format, which means that the size and the framerate both have to be adjusted if you want to make an NTSC DVD.
Canopus Procoder is the best software for this, but if you don't have it, try following one of the guides listed here:

thanks for the response, I would assume I need to convert it to ntsc or my dvd standalone will not play it???? I will check the link you provided, but what should I resize it to so the picture doesn't look squashed or expanded??

All you need to do is re-encode the Mpeg file to the format you want. If you want a DVD compliant file to put onto DVD, then use the MainConcept Encoder which will convert it for you.

    Get it at simpleguides.tk
