hey, i have a tv capture card that records at mpeg2, i was wondering if theres any program i can use to edit out the commercials?
I am no expert on video cutting software but easy video splitter would work. You can get I think a 7 day trial period of that and then TMPGEnc could do that but if that is all you want to do I wouldn't bother with that program. I am relatively certain that there would be something akin to what you want in the software section of this site under video tools.
With VdubMod you can only save it to as avi.. I use Womble MPEG2VCR for cutting out unwanted stuff. Frame accurate editing, fastest scrubbing, fastest frame stepping and no re-encoding when editing MPEG captures. There's also a Womble MPEG Video Wizard.
Cuttermaran, Mpeg2Cut, tmpgenc mpeg editor, Mainconcept EVE, and VideoReDo are 5 more. The first 2 are free.
