Does anyone know a program that allows you to either convert mpeg-4 into mpeg-1/2 including the subtitle tracks or allows you to create DVDs using mpeg-4s, also including subtitles. I've been looking for this for a while now and couldn't find anything that could handle mpeg-4's separate subtitle track. TrafJan82
Are the Subtitles Part of the Video or are they in a Seperate File Like a .SRT file??? If they are in a seperate File then it is Easy..You simply encode the Mpeg-4 file to Mpeg-2 and then use a DVD authoring Program that supports subtitles and then you Just import the Subtitle File into the DVD authoring Program and author the DVD...There are Many DVD authoring programs that support Selectable subtitles but they are Mostly Professinal Level Programs...Maybe Try "DVDLab Pro" as it supports subtitles.... Cheers
In MPEG-4, the subtitles track is part of the file and not stored in a separate file. DVDLab Pro cannot accept MPEG-4s as input. The files have to already be in a DVD-compatible format (MPEG-1/2 probably). Thanks for the tip though!
Well if the Subs are a Part of the File then I don"t see what your Problem is as all files will have to be encoded to Mpeg-2 to put them on DVD anyways so Just encode them and put them on DVD?!?!?!?
