I'm kindof new at the dvd burning. I have DVD copy, and DVD XPress, I can get copy to work but the disc when using Xpress never reads.

Anyway, I have a ton movies on my hd in avi and mpeg, how can I save them on DVD to read in my player? Is that possible?

Well for AVI and Mpeg files you will need a Encoder to encode the Files to DVD Compliant Mpeg2 and then a DVD authoring Program so you can add menu"s and Chapters and author to DVD...Something like Tmpgenc is a Good Encoder for a Beginner to use and "Tmpgenc DVD Author" is a Good DVD authoring Program for a Beginner to use...Doing this Is Far more Complicated than doing simple DVD Backups, there should be a Guide on this site that should explain to you what to do and there are Literally Hundreds of Guides over at "http://www.dvdrhelp.com/"....Cheers
