mpg direct cut tool

    hi, sorry if it was discussed somewhere,

    can you recommend some tool for direct mpg cutting?

    I have some mpg file and I would like to cut a few seconds in the beginning. I dont want this file to be reencoded, so I'm looking for such tool.

    well one of the Best Mpeg editors is "Womble Mpeg2VCR" which will edit Mpeg files without re-encodeing but it isn"t freeware....

    You can also use the "<peg Tools" in "Tmpgenc" to cut Mpeg files but sometimes you will have Sync problems if you Make a Cut on a Frame other than an I Frame....
