   I have mpg files on my pc ready to burn to dvd-r, anyone know a software that does the job?.

   DVDLab. You just chiave to be carful to transcode their audio from 44.1 kHz to 48 kHz.
   
   Read http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/multiple_svcd_on_dvdr.cfm and ignore that 'SVCD' has been written instead of 'VCD', if the mpeg movies you have are MPEG-1 instead of MPEG-2.
