how do i compress a mpg file(that's like say...750mb) to fit on a 80min 700mb cdr? is there a way? i hope so, help!
Alas, you can fit 2352*360,000 bytes of image into a "80' CD-ROM". Therefore, since a VCD bin is abut 10,6 MB larger than the mpegs (e.g. made with VCDGear), you can fit up to 830,000,000 bytes (802 MB) of movie into a CD. "700 MB" is used only for 'data CD' (e.g. when you burn a Data CD wiith Nero) and it's because the calculation you do is 2048*360,000 bytes = 702 MB. (360,000 = sectors into a "80' CD"; they contain 2048 bytes ot data, 2352 bytes of audio or raw data; have you ever seen written "MODE 1/2048" or "MODE 1/2352" in a cuesheet?). Otherwise, since a 1' WAV = 10,1 MB about, how could it be "80' = 700 MB" CD?
