Hi, I'm trying to convert an avi file which is a dvd rip to an mpg file (I've followed the guide on this site) I'm going through tmpgenc as in the guide and it says to get the file down to around 95-97% of the dvd capacity but on several tries with different sized files I can't get the file size below 130% of dvd capacity. I follow the guide word for word regarding settings but can't find any settings to get the filesize down. Is it possible then to encode the file anyway, dvd author it and then use dvd2one or dvdshrink to get it down to size? Thanks for any help.
