i gave this program which made my avi to a m2v file, it also made a mpg file to. Will i used "Cucusoft MPEG to DVD Burner" to burn my mpg file to a dvd it tuned the files to vob. You know dvd files. well it also burned those files to a dvd for me. Thing is taht i can watch that dvd on my computer but i cant watch it on my dvd player or my ps2. did i do something wrong? Maybe i was supposed to do something with that m2v file? Please help me.
This is probably due to compatibility problems among media, player, and software. You may try: 1) change the media, or 2) change the conversion and burning method (e.g. use VSO DivxToDVD to convert the avi into dvd compliant format, and Nero to burn). Good luck!
What do you mean when you say change the media? and in nero do you burn it with the dvd data section?
Dear Phreaktwo, A compatibility issue between software, media, and hardware is often involved when a burnt dvd can play on the pc, but not on standalone dvd players. Since media (i.e. brand of dvd used) is the easiest thing to change among the three, most people would characterize the situation as 'media problem'. The fact is a burnt dvd that cannot be played on one dvd player can often be played very well on another. Since software is another factor, I've often advised people to try change the programs/methods used for the burning to see if that'll help. However, some standalone dvd players (e.g. older models) can be very inflexible. If that's the case, then changing the media and/or the methods might still not work. I got one dvd player that plays anything, and an older one that's very picky myself. As far as burning is concerned, it really depends on what you have to begin with. With avis, for example, a common method would be to convert the avis into dvd compliant format (i.e. with Audio_TS and Video_TS folders) with e.g. VSO, then burn with Nero (I always perfer to use Nero Recode for this type of work).
How can something be normal when it crashes on you??? *_* What kind of file do you have (e.g. mepg, avi), and is it downloaded?
