.mpg to DVD using TMPGenc DVD Author?

    Firstly, I am a super-newbie, but trying to make my first DVD out of a .mpg file that I have.
    Using the guide found here (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/advanced_tmpgenc_dvd_author_guide.cfm), however, gave me some difficulties.

    When I try to add the clip, the program alerts me that the file has the wrong framerate: (The video framerate 23.976fps can not be used for standard DVD. Yo can only use the following.....)

    So, am I supposed to change the framerate to solve this problem, or how do I do it?

    I always put mpeg and avi files through mainconcept before i author with tmpgenc.Mainconcept sets the correct frame rates to use tmpenc saves any messing about.Give it a try you will not be dissapionted.

    Ok, I'll try that for starters, let's see what'll come out. Thanks for the tips.

    Exactly, what does the Mainconcept MPEG Encoder program do?
