Mpg too big to burn on Nero

    I am trying to burn a 3.6 GB movie to a DVD-R or DVD+R (doesn't matter) I put it into Nero Vision it states that it's too big and will reduce and then can't reduce, how do I make this fit onto a disc?

    I have the Newest Nero as far as my knowledge (have not checked for updates in a few months) and I also have plenty of other programs.

    Tell vision not to reduce then burn it to the hard drive. After geting it to the hard drive use recode.

    so I put a second copy on my HD? and use recode... one problem, my recode won't work it gets to it and shuts off...
