I have the M3 Real full bundle...how do I play a GBA game? I put the GBA memory expansion pack in slot 2 and then I made a GBA folder in the root of the MicroSD card ( after already installing the newest system software )and put in a GBA rom SMB3.gba. The menu for the system software comes up just fine but when I go to the GBA menu option the screen comes up saying /GBA/ directory doesn't exist! I am guessing the GBA folder doesn't belong in the root maybe? There was no instructions with my bundle nor was there an install cd.
Oh well the system recognises the directory now and see's the game but after the game loads from the menu I get the GBA player startup in the top screen and then nothing afterwards as the screen just stays white on top and black on the bottom..I will try another rom. Do these roms need to be patched somehow?
I guess its the rom because the new Spyro games works fine so its not my setup. Dunno why that mario rom doesn't work though as its a valid dump hosted on frozen.
Hmm while I got you looking in this thread I might as well ask you this. Since I got the real now is there no point in keeping my M3 Simply? I will probably sell it since I assume the real plays DS games just as good as the simply yes?
I will test SMB3 later today to see if it's the M3 or you/your rom. The M3 applies patches automatically when loading the game so you should not need to, maybe try disabling the real-time save option for any games that do not work. I do not see any point in keeping the Simply, maybe just as a backup in case the Real should fail or get lost or something? Also I would recommend using the edit button in future (top right of your posts) Edit: Just tested the game and it works fine on mine, just did a couple of levels.
I've just tested SMB3 and it worked fine, did a couple of levels. I left the settings alone, so they were setup as no cheats, no real-time save, and patch load.
Yes please use the edit function instead - back to back posting is considered post padding A more descriptive thread title is good too
