hello, i need some help i cant get into my msn 7.5 when i try to login and click sign in it says "your firewall may be blocking messenger from connecting to service" anyone would know how to fix this bc i have turn off all my firewalls i know about ob ny computer? i appriciate it if anyone takesthe time 2 help me out thank you
Could you give me more info,I assume you can access the internet as your asking here. Try signing on in safe mode(tap f8 while the computer is booting and select safe mode with networking). So its just MSnthat gives that error message?? "i know about ob ny computer? " - What does that mean???? Anyway, if your getting that error try this. Go to Start Click Run Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll Re-Start MSN Messenger If that don't work Ibet this will: Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key. Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. Should solve it.
i told you it wouldve done it, no problems and welcome to after dawn. any other msn problems then ask away. you should all be sorted for know though.
hi, i need some help. i'm getting the same error message about firewalls (error 80072ee6). i've turned off all the firewalls that i know of, and i've tried both suggested mentioned above, as well as running a few other things that i've found suggested (refsvr32 softpub, wintrust, and initpki), but i still get the same error and my password dissapears. oh and i even changed my password to "something shorter" as someone suggested. any ideas? any help would be appreciated... thanks! - isabel
Go to Start Click Run Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll or Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key. Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. will fix that error, if your still getting it then try reinstaling your msn mesenger, sounds like a bug.
um...i can sign on..but the thing is that all my friends are seem to be offline on my buddy list..but they are all sign on..wut can i do to this fix.. thanx
I've got the same MSN '80072ee6' error - tried both tips above - but MSN messanger 7.5 still won't let me log on....when I type my password and 'sign in', my password disappears (not happened b4)... i have removed and re installed the softwer 6 times before and after doing as instructed ... but still no solution .. HEEEEELP please !
@TGiris, If you are seeing the 80072EE6 error message when trying to log-in you may find the following tip useful; * Close off MSN Messenger * Go to Start * Click Run * Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll * Re-Start MSN Messenger If that doesn't case it for you then try flushing the DNS cache on your machine . Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key. Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. Hi Firstly thank you ... I have tried both the methods but still continue to get the problem ... It is doing my head in ...
Hey TGirgis, I assumed you've tried: * Close off MSN Messenger * Go to Start * Click Run * Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll * Re-Start MSN Messenger If that doesn't case it for you then try flushing the DNS cache on your machine . Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key. Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. If that doesnt work, run the trouble shoot and tell us what it flags. Good luck.
Hi TGiris, You missed a part of my post: Sign in, if you get an error click trouble shoot, tell us what the troubleshooter flags. good luck.
