So the other day I had a friend on MSN send me a message that said - is this you? followed by a link that had my screenname in it. Me, being the idiot that I am, after knowing of the many virus' that come from MSN, Click on the stupid link. It takes me to a blank page and I'm thinking to myself, wow that was absolutely the stupidest thing I have ever done, (well close to), so anyway, I find out that this virus shuts down all access to any spyware/virus software on your computer, it also slows down internet speed and it shuts down access to microsoft office, very convinient for me. I really need some help on this one. I don't want to have to spend 300 bucks to get my computer cleaned out. If anyone has any idea of how to rid my system of this virus please let me know!!!!!!
Well, you should start by posting this in the Anti-Virus/Anti Spyware forums.... Will probably get you a LOT more proper responses....
Then I would kick your friend in the nuts & get him to sort it for you. Can you boot up in safe mode?
With that virus, usually the friend's pc has become a spam zombie, and it spews that crap at everyone in the msn list, without the owner even knowing.
Yeah they are just so annoying I get people telling me all these random things with links attatched to them, really dodgy, I use an alternative client which probably prevents me from spamming even If I did get the virus. -Mike
hahaha...wow i clicked on that same link...nothgin happened..my computer blocked it and that was that.
