I am hoping this is a good place to post,

Can someone please help me stop the pop messages I keep getting on my computer.

They say they are from "Messenger service" and look official.
Blue band behind Messenger Service at the top and a grey background with black text for the message.

"Message from SECURITY to ALERT on (todays date and time)"

They usually warn of "SYSTEM ERRORS" and ask for an OK box to be checked to download a program and reboot.

They are really p......ing me off.

I would like any help in identifying the program I need to delete off my computer to prevent these pop ups. Where have they come from ?

I have spybot and ad-ware loaded but these damn things just keep on coming every few clicks.

    Please help.

My ISP is NETZERO and I have dial-up.

    Thanks Steve

It could be a number of things including a virus or ad generating program.A great place for help would be the spyware and virus section.

Check your firewall for anything suspicious. They are getting access permission from the firewall most likely.Cut the access off and access to your messaging programs as well.
