I think I can just about decipher your post... You can't tell when they open your conversation window, unless they send you a message.
doh, of course, as Rav says, if someone opens a conversation but doesn't speak/type, you won't know. but you wouldn't care as you wouldn't know
Uhm, boys, there USED to be a plugin for msnplus called stuffplugNG that did alerted you if someone opened a convo with you *even if you didn't type anything*, and messenger discovery also had that function. But that only works on old versions of msn, any version after 7.0 this won't work due to re-written protocols and reworked code.
