I am interested in assessing bandwidth saving effectiveness for multi-codecs that chooses the appropriate algorithm on the fly (scene by scene or frame by frame) during a VC session for instance. There is one by Broadcast International called codecsys. http://www.codecsys.com/ Anyone know others, or whether this is marginally useful vs. a great breakthrough. A full motion DVD file was very impressive compressed using the above and sent on a 512K link and acceptable on 256K link. (about 80%+ compressed). Interested in knowing what the incremental compression that this provides over using a single predetermined format for a similar quality. Any comments/thoughts or pointers would be most appreciated.
Hi, i can show you HD at 1.5 Mbps with one codec only , and i can show best result than codecsys with one encoder only , if you are interested contact me at alineb@013.net , i can send you clip and you can compare with codecsys and see that i'm better
