    Hi experts,

I have been ripping my hair out over this teh past few days, and cant seem to get it right. Heres exaclty what I need (want) to do.

    Movie 1
    Movie 2

I want to make both movies have their own menus, while both being linked to a main menu.

I can get both movies to work off one menu, but I wanted two different backrounds for each with info expanding from each menu.

    Heres what I've done.

    -VMG Menus
    VMG Menu 1
    Commands
    -VTS 1
    -Movies
    Movie 1
    Movie 2
    -Menus
    Movie 1
    Movie 2
    Scenes 1 for Movie 1
    Scenes 1 for Movie 2

The VMG Menu 1 has it's own picture, with text for both of the movies on it, "Movie 1 and Movie 2".

I dragged Movie 1 from Menus onto the Movie 1 text on the VMG backround, same as Movie 2.

I then Done both Menus of Movie 1 and Movie 2 with their own backround picture, and had "Play" and "Chapters" on both.

I dragged Movie 1 onto the Play text of the Movie 1 Menu, and Scenes 1 for Movie 1 onto the "Chapters" text of Movie 1 Menu. Same as Movie 2.

I then compiled, and tested in Power DVD. But what happend was, the root menu VMG Title Menu had both Movie 1 and Movie 2 linked to only Movie 2? And both of them Menus played Movie 2 as well.

I'm lost on what Menus do what and How I'm meant to link stuff, or am I creating the wrong Menus?

    Heres a picture

So I'm thinking it has to do with the menus, because it's all linked logically.

If anyone can shed some light on this, or guide me to a guide for this, I would be greatful.

    Thanks a lot.

Edit, had to try and figure out why the hyperlink wouldnt work, now I know that [IMG]

    I just figured something out.

Should I remove teh VMG menu 1 and just use VTS Root Menu as the main menu, then make two new menus off that for the two movies backrounds and stuff?

    Ill try that, be back.

    Yes!!, it worked :D

Well, all I did was remove the VMG menu, and Done it as normal with the VTS Root menu, and added two more menus for my movies.

You were making something extremely simple, into something terribly difficult.
Just add as many menu's as you like, and they'll each be a VTS.
Link from them to chapter selection menus too, if you want.

Yeah, it is extremely simple when you know what you're doing.

I didn't know what the VMG menu was, I thought it was so I could branch off other menus from it. But I figured it out myself as you can see. :) Everything works perfect now.

When I first got DVDlab standard, I tried it, adn it took me about 3 hours to work a simple movie with menu and motion backround. Now it takes me something like 3 minutes to setup, and 5 to render motion in another program, then copy back and finish up. World record time eh :D

Now I know how to do more than one movie, with VTS Root as main, and two more menus coming off for their own play button and chapter buttons. Man I'm skillful :p

I've moved onto professional motion backrounds now for the main menu, not that motion menu for chapters. I'm sure it's going to be simple for you, but because I've never done it before, I'm sure it's going to be difficult for me. :)

You know how to do hmm, say a backround like Blade II? With the guys fighting, but I want the words and effects to be like a glow around the motion, like a blend? so it's not just like a clip that plays over and over with some links on it.

I searched forever and only found some good templates, but they were selling them, and wouldn't give me their secrets :(. They made some wicked nice motion backrounds, for the main menu too, not for the menus.

I'm trying to learn this if you can help me out of send me to a guide for it. I read the default help guide in DVDlabPRO, but it's not enough, and it's too simple and boring :)

    Any help appreciated.

If you want Movie 2 to play Right after Movie 1 finnishes you simply go to the "Connections" window and then Highlight "Movie 1" and then at the Bottom of the Connections window were it says "End Link" set it to "Movie 2" ..

Now when Movie 1 ends Movie 2 will start Playing....

    Cheers
