Napster is using special encoding technique to protect media files from copying. Actually you can copy it but you won't be able to listen it except in their own player. I'm using two sound cards. I bought an inexpensive Creative Live sound card, then I interconnect my integrated sound card audio output with Creative Live audio input. I saved the receiving signal and converted it to mp3.

You can also accomplish this using one sound card if your sound card supports it. Jet Audio 6.
