    Hey,

I am starting my GCSE music course and will be needing some software for composition, either Sibelius or Cubase. I was wondering if anyone had had any experience with either and could give me some help on things like useablility etc. I know the obvious diffs. like Sibelius is notation and Cubase is sound files...(like the waves lol)

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thx,

I would Suggest another program when it comes to sound files. try Magix Music Maker and there is a program Called Music Works and that is good for composition and notation.

Cubases is good but i think too complicated.

If you can read sheetmusic (notes) then Sibelius or something similar would be good, as you can compose entire orchestrations with it.
If you're looking to do some dj-esque studio work, then you would fare better with cubase.
