I have 13 mvk movie files and I want to put them on a DVD but I don't know if I need to convert them first. Can I jsut put them on a dvd for me to watch them or do I need to convert them to another formatt to watch them on DVD.

P.S. I'm sorry if this is the wrong fourm for this type of question.

    mkvextract
use it to demux to avi and whatever audio stream.

if video is vfr, h264. you can't use avi.
instead get avisynth and use directshowsource. or any other tool that will directshowsource your stuff

I use VSO's Divx to DVD to convert MVK files to DVD format, the you can use your favorite dvd burning program such as DVD Santa or Nero to make your disk.
