my 2nd internal drive (300GB) is soooo slow. . . .

    With my original drive I was able to rip a movie with DVDDecrypter at a max 15x and average around 6x. When ripping to my new 300GB drive it tops out at 1.5x. Why is this?!?!?!?!?! Is there anyway I can determine the speed of my computers. They seem to be standing vertical back to back in my Dell Computer instead of with seperate trays. Any help much appreciated.

    try having the hds on seperate cables if ide but set as master & the rom drive(s) as slave.
