i need any1 who knows anyhting about household amplifiers 2 tell me whats the go? cause i really wana listen 2 some tunes. i was listen 2 music my speaker wires touches nehative and posative amp turned off, i can turn it on lights and all work but amp turns itself off on my amp it says poweroff and turns itself off within 7 secs what can i do?
It sounds like it's going into protection mode, to keep from frying it. This is usually caused by a frayed speaker wire, touching something it shouldn't. Even one strand, thats sticking out, can cause this. Double check both ends of each speaker wire. Re-twist the wire, and put it back in the clips, carefully, on back of receiver and back of speaker. If you do this, and are positive they are right, it could be that the receiver has a problem, and needs to go in the repair shop. Good luck!
