I have a hp 200i dvd burner and it reads dvd movies fine. I also can get it to read them when i'm using dvd shrink but when i get ready to burn it doesnt read the blank media. I have tried tdk, memorex, and fujifilm discs and none of them has worked. any help would be greatly appreciated as i am new to this. thanks.
Hi oddball79, I use to have that burner. 1st thing I would do is make sure you have the latest firmware for it. I think the version number was 1.5. Download off HP site. 2nd disable antiviruse programs and anything else running in background on startup. Also if you have more than one brand of burning software installed, try only one at a time and remove the others. Sometimes too many burning programs conflict with each other. Most members use Nero 5.5 or above with DVDshrink. Jerry
