my comp wont complete a disk cleanup

it keeps getting stuck on "compressed old files..." and wont complete a disk cleanup. what to do???

 

Try defragmenting first. Right click on the hdd, go to properties, tools and select defragment disk, restart, then give it another go.

 

anyway i can manually delete all these files that disk cleanup does?
