    Hi,
I have a 1.0 xbox and about a month ago the hard drive decided to break! I took me a long time to save up for a chip and new disk. I have now found out that i need slayers or auto installer (or something along those lines) but i have a big problem. Im on a dial-up connection with download rates of 4kb/s and expensive irish internet calls.

[bold]I was hoping as a last resort that someone could send me a CD/DVD which has what i need on it.[/bold] This is my last chance or ill have to sell my xbox for parts. I simply cant afford the cost of downloading 150mb (which is more than an xbox)

Please PM me Stu_M if you can help in any way.

    Grateful for any help,
    Stu_M

I don't know much about the Irish Economy on the whole of it. But, I can sympathize with you on the Dial-up issues though :(

My advise Get an ADSL or Cable connection with a 'Flat Rate' of like €9.99(EUR) a Month inc. ISP service.

I'm not sure if eBay has taken mesures against selling such CD's. But, Back when Slayers 2.5 came out. a lot of People were selling on 'em there. for like a Euro (or so),.

So you might want to try pokeing around there and see whats on tap...

    Tanks,
No luck on ebay. Is there any other way to get my hands on a cd.
As for the broadband. I cant afford 39.99 a month for 20 hours of internet acess.

That's strange, only 20 hours of broadband? Usually when you're on broadband you are on 24/7 as long as your PC is on and connected. Weird indeed.

About Slayer's, you don't have any friends/relatives who has broadband connection? School maybe?

My school uses spyware and user accounts to restrict acess. I wouldnt get away with it.

Eircom pretty much have a monoply in ireland thay can do what they want when they want. You only get 20 hours and a few gigs of download a month before you have to pay more on top of the standard 39.99 a month and thats the basic package. There are others like wireless but they serve very small areas.

Just found one on ebay decided to look outside of ireland and USA. Im going to try to get it now.
