hi,all i tried to download new save file as my games where saying no save data, when doing this i think i put a bad file on, ive tried to fix it but no joy.. when switching on ds fire card it now says media centre and data exchange, both options wont let me do anything. tried to format through comp,then it would not save a thing, think ive messed it up more... is there is anyone who can help me please... really missing my ds sarah x x x
Hi , I used the link it was very helpfull, thought i had finally sorted it, ive formatted and tranfared games by swapping a good card with my bad card (trick the ds lol), but when i restart it again it goes back to the same thing. I did format it on the computer the other day think that may be the problem, but even the comp keeps asking to format it again, when i go into my fire card section it says Media Centre and Data Exchange, when i click in media centre it says Can't found FAT system! 1.Fault Caused by Bad Contact 2. Raw Disk-unformatted. Data Exchange says- MOUNT FLASH DISK USB DISK PROGRAM (16G_256K) have i totaly messed my card up X X X X
sarah i have just had the exact same problem as you with one of my cards and at the minute i am trying various forums seeking an answer. i started a thread a while ago on afterdawn asking about formatting a ultraflashpassdx and got no replies, i think no one on this forum seems to use firewires or ufpex cards just r4s. if i find anything out i will post it here. dave
hi i got past that stage i will give you what link i done.... but know i can get onto the USB and MENU section, so you can tranfer files, but now its saying need udisk 1.45!, so im trying to solve this one now, but i feel like ive got over a hurdle lol. have a go but as i said mime isnt fully fixed... i will keep you updated if i figure out the next step How to upgrade the XMenu: >>>> Warning! All data on the MK5 will lose after you start the upgrade! Please backup it first!! <<<< 1. Use MK5 USB Linker connect PC , and enter USB data exchange mode , PC will detect one removable disk (MK5) have inserted 2. Copy "MK5_Menu_V1.39_AUTO_Upgrade.nds" to MK5 3. Restart NDS, enter MK5 menu, choose "MK5_Menu_V1.39_AUTO_Upgrade.nds" and run it,and restart NDS. 4. When NDS power on, hold L+R+A+B+DOWN to fast format whole MK5, or you can use A+B+START+SELECT+UP to make a low-level format ,then copy all data (include folder) from this uncompressed file. 5. Now new system is ready ,restart NDS and enjoy it!
hi, ive been trying and trying and i keep going in circles, from need udisk 1.45 to xmenu thing.. doing my head, i will keep trying and let you know as soon as i find out something
hi all with my ultraflashpass ex 8.0G card i have tried all the suggestions and links to suggestions here but with no luck. whatever combinations of keys i hold in i get the same choice of options and none of these are to format: when i go into my fire card section it gives me the option of Media Centre or Data Exchange, when i click in media centre it says: Can't found FAT system! 1.Fault Caused by Bad Contact 2.Raw Disk-unformatted. when i click on data exchange it says: MOUNT FLASH DISK USB DISK PROGRAM (16G_256K) it mounts on my pc as removable drive but when i click it, it says "drive not formatted" and just wants you to try and format using windows. any other suggestions would be much appreciated as this card has been rock solid for 2 years up till now.
hi,atomic22, i got off that stage your on by doing that mk5 thing, i can get the the correct usb and menu page now, but as i said in my last message im stuck on another problem now, ive even tried copying i good file from one of the kids files but still nothing...im getting square eyes but im still trying, fingers crossed for a break though, oh yes i formatted mine on the comp think thats what made our card so hard to fix x x
sarah ive tried copying all versions of firmware etc and nothing will copy all i get is a window coming up on pc saying "disc not formatted would i like to format now" and i know the ufpex isnt meant to be formatted in windows, so i am getting no further. i have all copies of every firmware version and upgrade for the ufpex 8.0g for the last 2 years on my pc but i am getting nowhere fast. the main problem is that any combination of keys i press on ds do not pop up the format screen like they always used to and like they do on my other ufpex cards.
HI ATOMIC22 what i did to format was put a good card in get to the blue screen then take it out , then put the bad card in this allowed me to get into the bad card, ...... but this is were i went wrong i thing i put a incorrect file on keep getting need udisk version 1.45, but if you have the correct files you should beable to do your .. let me know how you get on... thinking og giving up on mine and buying a new one, less stress lol!!! sarah
