My DVD aint workin...Help Onegaishimasu..

I am watchin lastnyt a DVD then suddenly it freeze..
After I restart it wont playin DVD anymore.
It only functions in Audio CD/installers CD/Video CD.
When i try to put a DVD disk, My player doesnt read it and pops-up with an error "NO DISK ON YOUR DRIVE".... I am having confusions if my hardware is broken or is there something that I should install for it can enables my player to play DVD again...Please help! I dont know what to do now.. I need technical support..!

 

what software are you using to backup your dvds?

and what blank media are you using?

make sure you are using good media like Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim and burn NO faster then 8x max. on a clean machine without other programs running with the latest firmware update for you drive

 

I am using QSI CDRW/DVD SBW242U CDWR/DVD on my laptop..
I dont have backups for my DVD... its just why is it playing other media except for DVD...
I tried original media DVD but it wont works....

 

try doing a firmware update for the drive

 

How? I mean where will I go for updates?
