    After a quick search I found it on a few sites, but none mentioned being a DIVX player.

    If you really need to play DIVX, then I, personally, wouldn't bother trying to hack it, chances are it just doesn't have the right decoder chip in there. Maybe just buy a DIVX compatible player. They're quite cheap nowadays and made by numerous manufactuerers.
