my connection looks alright but i still get some pixely signal loss. it is very noticeable on some of my finalized dvds (i usually record in xp and dub in flex mode...usually 2 hour discs). is there anyway i can improve my connection for a better quality hookup?

    here is my current connection:

DirecTV Receiver to VCR (AV Cables...yellow white red)
VCR to Panasonic DVD Recorder (AV Cables...yellow white red)
DVD Recorder to TV (AV Audio Cables and Monster Cable S-Video)

    my setup works great!

    to record:
receiver to dvd recorder (rf cable and mut be red or gold wire)
    Do not use silver wire

    to view regular program:
receiver to tv (component cable premium picture or s-video cable best picture or RCA cable yellow-white-red ok picture)

so if you want to record set you tv (ch. 3 or 4) and record.
just watch tv set-up tv video in 1 or 2 or 3 depent on tv settings.[/b][/b][/b][/b]
