I activated the software and burn the movie but when I try to play it nothing happends but an error for the dvd. I had it installed before and it worked but I needed to reinstall it when I replaced the hard drive so I purchased a downloaded version on the internet. Now everything seems ok when its burning but finalizing takes a little longer and sometimes never even finishes. Any help would be appreciated.

DVD XCopy is no longer being updated, as the law came down on the company. if you're up for new freeware, you could try DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, both of which are excellent programs (however, neither are updated anymore either). with dvd xcopy or new programs, buying a copy of AnyDVD will save you loads of time and effort, as it is continuously updated against new protection schemes (often on the same day). check our guids section for more info.

i used to use same software and had same problem.trawled through this website a thousand times and checked settings, reformatted and everything else u can possibly think of and in the end.....bought a new dvd writer and everything was fine.the point worth mentioning although i dont know if there is any truth in it is that it was suggested to me that maybe the program itself damaged the drive.....??????

21st Century now - time to move on and acquire some decent software.

    Sound advice provided above.
