truly sorry. my browser crashed when i tried to upload the pictures then auto posted the reply. ive uploaded the pictures from my PS3 and updated the post above.
Treat as virus/malware and look in the windows repair forums. It looks to me like a failed browser exploit, or a variant on the old blast virus. Have you ever tried to debug the thing, and if so what was the output from that. (strewth..I'm so glad I don't run M$ rubbish)
thanks allot for the reply Janrocks, im not quite sure how to debug it but i dont think its a virus, u see i was reencoding .avi files and i picked this codec below and the second i clicked "Save as .avi" my explorer crashed and that window in my first post popped up popped up on reboot. oh and the file i saved is still on my desktop. i cant delete it and i think it might be contributing to the problem... ill try some virus scans and ask around. as for the debugging part u might need to help me with that. P.S. now did you say you don't run MS? so then your on linux i presume ^_^ (ive been meaning to switch for a while now but i have know clue how to use linux and i haven't had the time...)
