    Simply try reinstalling iTunes and see if that fixes the problem.

    if your music is on the C: of the iTunes folder simply cut and paste it elsewhere and then just reinstall.
    A good thing to do is never put your music in the default folders just in case of fatal errors or uninstall situations. I always put mine for safe keeping on an external drive or a different partition and a separate new folder as well.

    This should resolve the issue;

    Go into itunes while phone is plugged in.

    You will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music.

    Select music

    Where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right

    Once the sync is complete re-check the music sync option

    This usually works for PC users

    Had the same problem, JO2018 is right, Your problem probably lies in the Mobile Device Support or your drivers may have gotten corrupt. Removing all that apple/itunes stuff redownloading the newest version of itunes and reinstalling should resolve the issue.
