My new NEC ND-3520 drive says it's only compatible with Windows XP......Is it compatible with Win ME?

I just bought a NEC ND3520 drive, and on the box it ONLY lists Windows XP as the operating system. I have Windows ME, and don't wish to upgrade. Will this drive install into winme, even if it doesn't have all the functionality?

Okay, that's what I thought, but when I saw ONLY a WinXP logo on the box, it worried me. It's for me, so I really didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it, plus I got it through one of those "low cost" websites (Mwave), so I don't know if they have a restocking fee or not or weird return policies. But it looks like I may not have to do that anyway. Thanks for the reply.

And just for future reference..if it has a big XP logo on the front of the box, it doesn't mean that that is the only operating system that it will work with... it was just advertising that it would work with the newest operating system as a selling point most likely.

I found the specs for you here :- http://support.necsam.com/Optical/ND3520A_specs.asp

It doesn't mention ME, but does say 2000... I hope it works for you, it's an excellent machine.
