Ok, using standard microsoft stuff.. (Start>Compter>D)>{INSERT FILE HERE}> "Write these files to a CD" I get this little message up on the burning wizard.. "No Disc Found" Yes.. im sure theres a disc in there i've even looked! So i tried on "Ultimate CD-DVD Burner 3.0" here's the log I get.. >>> add files/folders to CD done. >>> burning CD - ON 1:0:0,D: SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-352FT902 >>> ERROR GETTING NEXT WRITABLE ADDRESS >>> STARTING WRITE PROCESS ON UNKNOWN AT 0X (2 KB/s) >>> finalizing track >>> burning completed with errors >>> WRITER ERROR [NOT READY (MEDIUM NOT PRESENT - TRAY CLOSED)] Hmm.. my lucky day two errors.. Take a note im not a PC geek but i will take a short following your "tech" advice. ANY help is good and i mean.. ANY! Nearly forgot, using a DVD+RW 4.7GB disc Thanks EUMPUK
it seems your drive doesn't support writing to DVD's let alone DVD+RW, so of course it wont burn to the media! http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1379 if this isn't the case (i doubt it) post back with further information and we will continue from there -tripplite
Your Samsung SM-352 is not a DVD writer. It will write to CD, but only read from DVD an according to specs, only -R type disc.
Yea thanks for the help guys and girls, found out when we moved (2years ago) someone had stolen my D) drive, replaced it with this samsung thing.. goes to show you how much i use it! haaha. Bloodly annoying though.
