    Tried recycle bin?
Anyway if it really is "gone" then yo're gonna have to buy a file recovery program like RecoverMyFiles- works like magic and I've recovered 100s of gb even after formatting.

did ye look in your recyle bin?

unless ye had the recyle bin set up as not to remove the files to the recyle bin....

    edit--
Just tested, it seems to have recovered a lot of my TV series episodes up until february which is good but it doesn't seem to recover recently deleted pictures- strange, but definately good piece of software.

If you're talking about Smart Data Recovery- check your options settings it should ask you where you want to save the recovered files (make sure to check the boxes for the files you want to recover)- after clicking recover, your files should end up in whatever directory you picked- hope that helped ;)

that is helpfull, DH, but that is not what i meant.
I recover the files, but when i try and play a recovered video or sumin a screen with all sourghts of numbers and symbols etc. come up and the file extension is called sumin like ".xtm" or close to it, and the comp refers to them as "clusters", i want to know why does it do that and how do i get them back?
