hi guys, i'm a guy from Asia just moved in to UK.If anyones can help me here, why is my PS2 turn black and white on my UK's TV screen?? Can I reformat the TV?? Is there any other way?? I would appreciate any suggestions from the experts..
its probably due because of the different television signal. in the U.K and most of Europe + Australia we use the PAL signal whereas America, Japan and most other Asian nations use NTSC. your gonna need a T.V that can display both signals
Yes you are playing a NTSC ps2 on a pal only TV most modern tv's 1996-2006 support both color codes that also means your TV dosent support 60hz because PAL runs at 50hz ntsc runs at 60hz tv;s are pretty cheap now cathorode tube ones are you can pick up a 35cm TV here in Aus for only $89au.
You also fix it by using an adapter I forgot what it was called now you plug the av's into it then that just plugs into your tv
