Ive burnt a few successful vcds with nero before, nothing to complex but alot of the time it does f**k up! Well the one im struggling with is tom n jerry movie which i mangae to split into two half with easy video splitter. The sound stays in sync perfectly on both .avi's but when i encode with nero the sound goes out during playback. I got an avi - mpeg converter (cant rmember the name cos im at work), and the mpeg was just as bad out of sync as the vcd. I got TMPGEnc downloaded and working with the mpeg (sound still out of sync)but it wont convert the avi. I found out bout taking the audio out seperatly so i got VirtualDub, as recommended, but this wont open the avi cos its compressed in Div3. This is where my problem is, cos i cant find a codec anywhere! All the sites ive found only giv the divx/divX packs which uncompress div3 but this isnt good enough for virtual dub. Can anyone please point me in the direction to find this codec or can someone send my one? Im actually losing alot of sleep over this cos im up alnight trying to sort it out, and i cant stop till ive got it on vcd so i can watch it in bed. Please help me! I dont want to end up hating my favourite cartoon caracters cos of one little codec that doesnt seem to exist any more! (
i dont know how many people have actually said this(ive said it at least 10 times), but DONT USE NERO TO ENCODE, it may well be the best authoring software but in the encoding department it sux dog testicals tmpge needs the compressed audio to be converted to wav for it to recognise it properly there many programs are able to do this, but the best program ive found so far is avi2vcd(do not, i repeat do not use it to create VCD cause its shit) but it has the best audio decompressor ive found to date, so download avi2vcd and decompressor.exe will come with the package, thats your bitch http://encoderx.co.uk/info/avi2vcd.html this program will create a whole new file (video included) with the audio converted to wav, just load the new file into tmpge created with avi2vcd's decompressor and everything should be sweet you may also need the div3 codec which comes with the divx 3.11 alpha(google search that i cant remember any sites that have but google sure will ) cheers m8
"you may also need the div3 codec which comes with the divx 3.11 alpha(google search that i cant remember any sites that have but google sure will )" thats what i was looking for, a div3 codec, but not one thats part of pack, and i still never found it. But ive moved on from that one now, i sorted it out. Got a new one now, im looking for software that will split divx/divX with out putting the sound out of sync. Easy Video Spiltter isnt having any of it, keeps letting the sound go out of sync so when i split a movie i cant take the wav from it, cos when i put it back together with TMPGEnc im assuming the sound will be out of sync as with tom n jerry.
divx 3.11 alpha contains the div3 and div4 codecs(which will allow decompressing and compressing of divx files), this pack will not cause conflicts(its not really a pack anyway, just the 2 codecs), but if youve got it sorted great and why go to the bother of splitting the avi if your going to encode anyway encode using tmpge and split after your done using tmpge's merge and cut feature, u wont have any sync problems then also remember, convert the audio to wav first(the proggy ive linked above will do this, its a no brainer you cant go wrong with it, which can sometimes happen with vdub) _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Young man......Young man......You Just Got Knocked the Fucked Out[/small]
