Are you sure you've installed your USB 2.0 drivers? And are you sure the USB parts are connected firmly?
I have just checked, yes they are firmly connected, and iv just updated my drivers and still nothing, i dont know what to do, i may take it the computer man down the road, any other suggestions first guys what the problem is, thanks jonny
Go into Device Manager, and under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, see if there is a listing with Enhanced Host Controller. If there is none, then your drivers are either not loaded, or you have the incorrect drivers loaded. Have you updated the firmware for your motherboard? Do you have the latest Intel updates installed?
I would suggest there are only 3 possibilities. 1. The wiring from the USB port to the motherboard is wrong somewhere. Most modern motherboards won't let you put the wrong cable on the wrong terminal, however, some cases don't have an all in one connector, but single wires - I would check that it is wired properly. 2. You haven't loaded the Motherboard Driver disk and all its drivers. 3. The motherboard is knackered or a USB hub, I cannot believe all of the hubs are damaged though. Oh yes one more could be that the USB is disabled in the bios.
Thanks for the advice haymarket im am definaltly going to check all of that, i will let you all know how i get on jonny17
