There was nothing until yesterday when I turned on my Windows 10 PC and noticed it was run slower than normal. I launched up Task Manager and figured out that one svchost.exe process (in many others) is using a lot of my CPU, around 40% and seems stuck at that amount. I've tried to restart the computer, but after turning on, the problem comes up again. What do I suppose to do now?
svchost is associated with your network adapter & yes there is a few of them in the task manager list.It could be anything, your best bet is web search & then execute the solution that best describes your problem, its how i managed to solve mine a few months back. You could also check for an update from microsoft for a fix,as i seem to recall there was an issue not so long ago have a look at this http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2855055/svchost-exe-high-cpu-usage.html wording to use in browser for starters svchost.exe using excessive cpu in win 10 svchost.exe using 40 cpu in win 10 i am on win 7 at the mo regardless it shows no cpu usage for svchost even when running a torrent, tho the torrent is currently uploading for the time being,i would expect win 10 to show very little cpu usage if i booted to it
I did several searches, found a few guides, including a video on YouTube. https://usefulpcguide.com/18385/svchost-exe-netsvcs-high-cpu/ View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqtgidYSs7U It seems there was a problem with the Windows 10 build 1067 because after taking this update, the issue appears. Followed the instructions and rollback the update, everything is fine now. The thing is that I want to try 1067 and see what's new. However, I have to wait for the next update and hope it won't conflict with my computer.
