my x2 lite will not boot 2 ms dash when switched off!

    my x2 lite will not boot 2 ms dash when switched off! can any1 help -- been able back up games an apps usin evo X just thinkin about gettin live an wud like 2 have this much sorted first!
    does live only work with official games??

    You have to lock the drive especially if it is a new hard drive. Also there are programs out there especially to tell you how to do it...go to http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/lock-hdd.php and it will show you exactly how to do it...Again not responsible for any mess ups

    Have you renamed the original xboxdash.xbe to something else or overwritten it with the evox dash per chance?

    Thank 4 gettin back 2 me-- yea i renamed it but wat should i rename them to if i want 2 be able to switch between them using the switch?
    msdash does not work -- call both of them xboxdash will that work?
    (am not in front of my machine to try)

    Your xbox dash should be called xboxdash.xbe and your evox dash should be called evoxdash.xbe. That is a good tut but if you can find configmagic it does it all for you. ftp it to your xbox open it up and select lock drive and thats it! Easy as pie!!! Don't forget to make a backup with evox first though.
